The history of this hotel looks back to the 1960s when the Falcon Hunting Society of Zemplén decided to build a hunting lodge. Up until 1998, there was not even a road to Rókabérc. This changed when the current owner acquired the hunting lodge with the 5000 acres of land surrounding it. In the early 2000s, after the demolition of the former hunting lodge, the first bricks of the current hotel were put in place. Over the years the hotel was expanded with a conference room, bowling alley, outside swimming pool, and a wine cellar. In the meantime, the area became part of the Natura 2000 area.
